It is not good enough to just go to church. It is time to be the church. Most Christians today don’t have time for God and they just go to church to be entertained. The choir can sing an hour and the musicians can play an hour but the preacher better not try to preach an hour or he will loose his members. Church folks spend more time watching a movie, going to a baseball game, eating out, walking the dog, going shopping and the list goes on and on, rather than spending 1 hour a day in the presence of God. The world we live in is a mess and it is not because of the unsaved folks. It is because the church is too churchy to do the real work of the ministry. The preachers that say that they are anointed need to know what the anointing is for. When God sent the seventy to do the work of the ministry they came back rejoicing because the demons were subject to them in the name of Jesus. Luke 10:17-20 And Jesus said to them, I saw Satan falling like a lightning (flash) from heaven. Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and (physical and mental strength and ability) over all the power that the enemy (possesses); and nothing shall in any way harm you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are enrolled in heaven. Did you get that? Jesus said that the spirits are subject to you. Why is this not happening today? Why is it that the preachers are not teaching that the anointing will remove burdens and destroy yokes. Why? Why? Why? God said: Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you (the priestly nation) have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
People today don’t know who God is, therefore they don’t know the difference between the truth and a lie. It is the responsibility of the five-fold ministry (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers) to build up the body of Christ (the church). So that the body might develop and attain oneness in faith and in the comprehension of the (full and accurate) knowledge of the Son of God, that (we might arrive) and really mature. Eph. 4:11-13
JESUS told the devil; IT IS WRITTEN, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God. Luke 4:4 and Matthew 4:4 We need to tell the devil what is written. But you have to first know what’s written. If you don’t know the word, then you certainly cannot speak the word to the devil to get him off your back.
God didn’t give the church power to sit on it. He gave the church power to defeat the devil every minute, every hour and every time he shows up in your life. Look at it this way, it won’t do you any good to go to the store and buy a light bulb to replace a light that has blown out. Then look look at the light bulb hoping it will light up with out you connecting it to the power source.
Jesus said: Matthew 5:13-14 That you are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality). It is good for nothing but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.
IT IS TIME FOR THE CHURCH TO TURN THEIR LIGHTS ON!
God made a Promise to Abraham in Genesis 22;17-18 that He would bless him and multiply his descendants like the stars in the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. And in his Seed meaning Christ, all the nations of earth be blessed because Abraham not only heard God’s voice but he also obeyed God’s voice. Therefore Abraham received righteousness because he believed God.
Now The Law was given by God through Moses (Exodus 20) and was added 430 years after the Promise because of sin. So the purpose of the law was to disclose and expose to mankind their guilt and to make mankind more conscious of sin. It was intended to be in effect until the Seed (the Descendant, the Heir) should come, to and concerning Whom the Promise had been made (Galatians 3:19). So the Law served as a trainer, a guardian and a guide to Christ that we might be justified (put in right standing with God) by and through faith (Galatians 3:24). Under the Law no one could be justified by it because no one could continue to live by all the commands written in the Book of the Law and to practice them. And that no person could be declared righteous and put in right standing with God through the Law (Galatians 3:10-11).
The scriptures say in St. John 1:17 that the Law was given by God through Moses, but Grace &Truth came by Jesus Christ. For God did what the Law could not do by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin. So that the righteous and just requirement of the Law might be fully met in us who live and move not in the ways of the flesh but in the ways of the Spirit. In other words being under the control of the Holy Spirit (Roman 8:3-4). Before Jesus came we were all imprisoned by sin. But now the inheritance, which was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But before faith came we were perpetually guarded under the Law and kept in custody getting ready for the faith that was destined to be revealed (Galatians 3:22-23). In Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. For as many as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is now neither Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s offspring and (spiritual) heirs according to the Promise.
Some Christians have a hard time with this because of traditional teaching and therefore they are still trying to keep the Law. But the scriptures are clear and say in Galatians 3:18 that the inheritance of the Promise is not based on keeping the Law but the Promise was given to Abraham as a free gift. And that the Law is not of faith and if you try to do the things prescribed in the Law then you will live by them and not by faith. We must understand that we are kept by the power of God and that we cannot keep ourselves. Jesus Christ purchased our freedom from the curse of the Law and it’s condemnation by becoming a curse for us. That the blessing Promised to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles. So that we through faith might receive the Promise of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:13-14)
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live and walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2). For God did not send his Son into the world to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him (St. John3:17). God- so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, he made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ by His Grace (mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (Ephesians 2:4-5).
Some may say since we are no longer under the law but under grace that we should keep right on sinning since Jesus has paid the price for our past, present and future sins. The Apostle Paul taught against this wrong thinking in Romans 6 saying since we are dead to sin we should not live any longer in sin. The old man which is the old sin nature has been crucified with Christ that our body which is the instrument of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin. Therefore don’t let sin rule as king in your short-lived bodies, to make you yield to its cravings and be subject to its lusts and evil passions. For sin does not have any dominion over you, since you are not under the Law but you are under Grace.
There will be situations and/or circumstances in our life that we have to deal with. The only problem is how we handle or deal with them. We can choose to fight our own battle and war in the flesh. Or we can choose to give the situation, the problem, the circumstance to The Lord and let him fight as us and for us. We can only do this when we get in peace by receiving the peace of God that is available to us in the midst of the storm. Why do you think situations and circumstances turn into storms? Mainly because we tried to handle them in our own strength and did not recognize that the battle belongs to The Lord. God did not give us carnal weapons he gave us spiritual weapons.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical weapons of flesh and blood, but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, Inasmuch as we refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the true knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
Situations and circumstances are always magnified when we allow our imaginations to get out of control. But when we cast them down they loose there stronghold and can no longer take our mind in places that will ultimately cause us to respond or act incorrectly.
Exodus 14:13-14 AMP
Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.
The Egyptians represent situations, circumstances and strongholds that come against us to destroy us. We don’t have to fight these enemies because the battle has already been won! Glory to God! Hallelujah!
“Stay in Peace and Walk in Love”
I probably would not be alive today if it wasn’t for my faith. The Bible says in 2 Corinth 4:8 that we are troubled and oppressed in every way, but not crushed. We suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair.
Even though we might find ourselves in helpless and hopeless situations it is just temporary. We can choose to go thru difficulties in faith and victory or in fear and unbelief. When we walk in faith and victory we are walking/working out our temporary situations in the strength and power of God. When we allow fear and unbelief to control us, we go thru temporary situations and circumstances giving the enemy power to trouble and oppress us even more. I choose to use my faith in order that I might gain victory. By using my faith I starve my fear and therefore defeat the enemy because I trust in God.
The Bible says it like this: Isaiah 40:31 AMP
But those who wait for the Lord who expect, look for, and hope in Him shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up close to God as eagles mount up to the sun; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
WAIT I SAY, ON THE LORD. He might not come when you want Him to come, but He is never late. He is an on-time God, Yes He Is! I’m a witness God will trouble your troubles, Yes He will!
