Just the other day God reminded me of his faithfulness with this scripture:
Proverbs 29:2 AMP
When the uncompromisingly righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh.
Throughout my life I have found this to be very true. As the head is so shall the body be. When the righteous (those who have right standing with God) are in authority they can stay in the peace of God. And that peace flows to those they have the authority over. The people are happy and have less stress in their lives. But if those that are in authority are unrighteous/wicked leaders they have no peace because there is no peace to the wicked. And the people that are under that leadership complain and are stressed out.
You can be in a stressful situation a long time. Then just when you think you can’t take any more, all the stress has been lifted. This goes back to Waiting/Trusting & Depending on The Lord. After all The Lord knows what you can handle and He knows how to deliver His people.
Isaiah 41:10-12 KJV
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
STAY IN PEACE AND WALK IN LOVE
I probably would not be alive today if it wasn’t for my faith. The Bible says in 2 Corinth 4:8 that we are troubled and oppressed in every way, but not crushed. We suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair.
Even though we might find ourselves in helpless and hopeless situations it is just temporary. We can choose to go thru difficulties in faith and victory or in fear and unbelief. When we walk in faith and victory we are walking/working out our temporary situations in the strength and power of God. When we allow fear and unbelief to control us, we go thru temporary situations and circumstances giving the enemy power to trouble and oppress us even more. I choose to use my faith in order that I might gain victory. By using my faith I starve my fear and therefore defeat the enemy because I trust in God.
The Bible says it like this: Isaiah 40:31 AMP
But those who wait for the Lord who expect, look for, and hope in Him shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up close to God as eagles mount up to the sun; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
WAIT I SAY, ON THE LORD. He might not come when you want Him to come, but He is never late. He is an on-time God, Yes He Is! I’m a witness God will trouble your troubles, Yes He will!
To forgive means to cease to feel resentment against (an offender) : pardon . In most cases this is easier said than done. Sometimes people do hurtful things to one another and that may cause bitterness, resentment and a loss in trust. The Bible says that a man or women’s enemies are those of their household (people you love and trust). When these people hurt you this is called an “inside attack”. When you are hurt by a stranger or someone that is not close to you, we call this an “outside attack”. Both inside and outside attacks can be damaging to you short term and long term and you need God’s help so that you can get healed.
Peter, one of Jesus’s disciples asked Jesus about forgiveness. This is what Jesus said to Peter and he is saying the same thing to us today.
Matthew 18:21-23 AMP
Then Peter came up to Him and said, Lord, how many times may my brother sin against me and I forgive him and let it go? As many as up to seven times? Jesus answered him, I tell you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven!
When you don’t forgive those that have sinned against you, that gives them power over you. And you end up in prison in your mind. Which leads to bitterness, hatred, resentment and other things.
But if you are willing to forgive but don’t have the strength God will help you if you ask him. Pray this prayer, Father God I come to you in Jesus name seeking your strength and help in time of need. I have been wounded and deeply hurt by (the offender) and I am unable to forgive him/her in my own strength but I am willing to forgive this person and therefore submit myself to you. I am asking you to give me the strength to forgive by using your power on my behalf. Father I thank you for delivering me from all resentment, bitterness and anger against this person and restoring to me the peace of God that passes all understanding, in Jesus name I pray Amen. Now you have released the offender from their sins against you and took back the power they had over you. You are free to serve the living God and savior Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Praise God!
Matthew 6:14-15 AMP
For if you forgive people their trespasses their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their trespasses their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment, neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.
Walking in love does not mean that we are not affected by the attacks of the enemy. God has given us spiritual weapons to use against those attacks and offenses.
Ephesians 6:10-11 AMP
Be strong in the Lord be empowered through your union with Him; draw your strength from Him that strength which His boundless might provides. Put on God’s whole armor the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies, that you may be able successfully to stand up against all the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
When we choose to obey God by believing him and not receiving the imaginations/thoughts that the enemy uses to trick us. We are empowered to Walk In Love because we have submitted ourselves to The Word/Will of God.
Ephesians 5:1-2 AMP
THEREFORE BE imitators of God copy Him and follow His example, as well-beloved children imitate their father. And walk in love, esteeming and delighting in one another as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God for you, so that it became a sweet fragrance.
John 8:12 AMP
Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the Light which is Life.
In a world were there is so much darkness we need Jesus in our lives so that we can see where we are going. Without Christ (the light) we fall and stumble in darkness and end up in hopeless situations. Consider turning on the light of Jesus Christ in your life today by receiving Him. After all Jesus came that you might have and enjoy life abundantly.
Jesus said, “I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out (freely), and will find pasture. The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). St. John 10:9-10 AMP God wants us to have the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is not a matter of (getting the) food and drink (one likes), but instead it is righteousness (that state which makes a person acceptable to God) and (heart) peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17 AMP
